MAME Table - Design Overview

As instructables was trying to force me to upload photos (screw you guys, it's your loss), I've created this blog to cover the build.  The below details cover the design overview and project goals. A full shopping list and build instructions will follow as the build progresses.

Design Overview

• The design must be of a cocktail nature
• The housing ‘cabinet’ ought to look as normal as possible when not in use.
• As this is likely the first of two tables, this first table will be the prototype for the actual MAME table.

 Design outline:

• Modified ikea tables will house the components
• Glass top will be sourced separately.
• A (60-in-1) Jamma board will be used instead of a MAME configuration for this first build
• The two control panels will fold when not in use
• Flat screen monitor will be used as the screen; this will be stripped down to fit the build.
